Wellington Suzuki Workshops

The Wellington Suzuki Branch run a Suzuki Spring Workshop each year.

Tuition is offered for violin, viola, cello and piano players. String tuition is from pre-Twinkles, while piano is from Twinkles and above.

All students will participate in both master classes and group classes.  In addition there will be optional ensemble classes for violin, viola and cello students. Those students who play Two Grenadiers may enrol for ensemble classes.

There is also a Suzuki Baby & Toddler Music class available for non-playing siblings.  This programme is for 0-3 year old's and a parent/caregiver (one child per parent). A series of traditional songs and rhymes are used as stimulus for movement, singing and percussion playing.

It is expected that all children attending will have a supervising parent with them, both for safety, and to support them.

Dates for 2022 are:

Sunday 2nd October to Wednesday 5th October 2022

Look out for Registration in Term Three.

Wellington Suzuki Summer Camps

Wellington Summer Camp dates for 2023 are:

Wednesday 18th January 2023 - Monday 23rd January 2023

Summer Camp is held each January round Wellington Anniversary weekend, in Masterton, New Zealand, a 1.5 hour drive from Wellington City.

Summer Camp is for the Whole Family.  It is a live-in camp, with all meals provided if you wish.  You can choose to bring your own tent or caravan, or stay in one of the dormitory's.

The Summer Camp is usually held at Rathkeale College, a short drive from the centre of Masterton. It is in a beautiful rural setting, has a huge auditorium, large dining room, common rooms for families to socialise, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and LOTS of room for biking around. We have had fantastic feedback on the quality of the meals. Having food prepared by a chef on site is great.

Summer Camp is a great environment for learning and sharing, with wonderful music enrichment - fun groups and ensembles, stimulating master classes, and evening concerts open to the public.

Places for all instruments are limited, so please register as soon as possible when Registration opens in Term Four to avoid disappointment.
